Iron-chromium-aluminum heating wire is better or nickel-chromium heating wire is better

2023-01-21

According to the material, the heating wire can be divided into nickel-chromium heating wire and iron-chromium-aluminum heating wire. The temperature of iron-chromium-aluminum heating wire is much higher than that of nickel-chromium heating wire.

(1) Composition of iron-chromium-aluminum heating alloy wire:

1. The iron-chromium-aluminum heating wire has a high temperature in the atmosphere

The maximum operating temperature of iron-chromium aluminum heating wire 0Cr27AL7Mo2 can reach 1400 ℃, while the maximum operating temperature of nickel-chromium wire Cr20Ni80 is 1200 ℃.

2. Long service life

Under the same use at higher temperature in the atmosphere, the life of FeCrAl can be 2-4 times that of NiCr.

3. High surface load

Since the iron-chromium-aluminum alloy allows high temperature and long service life, the surface load of the element can also be higher, which not only makes the temperature rise faster but also saves alloy materials.

4. Good anti-oxidation performance

The Al2O3 oxide film formed on the surface of the iron-chromium-aluminum alloy has a dense structure, good adhesion to the substrate, and is not easy to scatter flowers and flowing water to cause pollution. In addition, Al2O3 has high resistivity and high melting point. These factors determine that the Al2O3 oxide film has excellent oxidation resistance. The carburization resistance is also better than that of Cr2O3 generated on the surface of nickel-chromium alloys.

Iron-chromium-aluminum heating wire is affordable, but its oxidation resistance is weaker than that of nickel-chromium heating wire at the same temperature.
