Recently, the Special Steel Technology Research Institute of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Research Institute successfully opened up the whole process of production of high-performance Cr20Ni80 electrothermal alloy wire products for high-power electric furnaces, and completed the trial production of ton-level finished products for the first time. The first batch of products have been successfully installed and tried on high-power electric furnaces such as distillation furnaces and reduction furnaces of Sponge Titanium Branch.
Cr20Ni80 electrothermal alloy has a stable, single and uniform austenite solid solution structure. This structure enables the alloy to have good mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature, uniform electrical and physical properties, and good processability. Because of its high melting point, high resistivity, low temperature coefficient of resistance, good high, medium and low temperature oxidation resistance, and it can be cold processed to very fine round and flat wires, it is often used to produce electric heating elements, high and medium temperature resistance elements, stress Measuring components and special components are one of the most important basic materials in the electrical field. my country is the main consumer of Cr20Ni80 electrothermal alloys. At present, the production enterprises of electrothermal alloys in my country are mainly small and medium-sized private entrepreneurs, whose production equipment is simple and weak in technology development capability. Compared with imported products, there is a big gap in the quality, performance and service life of domestic electrothermal alloy products, and the product price is only 1/4~1/5 of imported products.
Based on the strong demand for domestic industrial upgrading and import substitution, researchers from the Institute of Special Steel Technology have systematically studied the influence of factors such as alloy composition, smelting process, processing technology and heat treatment process on the properties of Cr20Ni80 electrothermal alloys from the perspective of material design. The composition of Cr20Ni80 electrothermal alloy and the whole production process were optimized. After several rounds of laboratory small ingot-type test verification and numerical simulation verification, the ton-scale industrial trial production is actively carried out. In order to ensure the one-time success of the trial production, the researchers of the Special Steel Technology Research Institute closely tracked the production process, discussed in depth with the on-site technicians in each process, and formulated effective plans in advance for possible problems. After full preparation, strict control and close cooperation of each process, the first batch of large-scale large-scale Cr20Ni80 electric heating alloy wire products was successfully trial-produced. After comprehensive performance testing, all indicators of this batch of products have reached the expected goals.
At present, the Institute of Special Steel Technology is organizing special seminars based on the test and the first batch of secondary industrial production data to improve the related processes of industrial production, and lay a solid foundation for the mass production of Cr20Ni80 electrothermal alloys in the next step. At the same time, it is planned to strengthen the systematic research on other grades of electrothermal alloy products to create necessary conditions for further expanding the research institute's electrothermal alloy product categories and influence.
